Farm Lessons

Our Grandma? She's got a knack for shopping and getting just the right thing. For instance? These matching jackets? The boys have worn them all fall and spring. And when they see their cousins, then they match. Practical and cute. Gotta love that.

But the best gift of all was these gumball egg laying hens. We got a farm lesson in how chickens lay eggs. We got chewing gum. And we got entertainment. (Well this Momma was hugely entertained anyway.) Not sure why it tickled my funny bone to watch these wind up chickens lay their eggs, but it did. It's always good to laugh.

And Grandpa? He played his part. They got to go out and combine a few rows of corn leftover from last year.

No wonder the boys love their grandparents and visiting the farm so much. They keep busy living every little boy's dream.

A Few Pounds Later

What a difference. In BOTH of us.

I noticed the striking difference the other night when I was looking at pictures. Older, but skinnier. (Notice I said nothing about wiser. That would be a stretch.) I guess you can't have your cake and eat it, too.

Three Times in Eight Days

So we saw our Aunt Heidi three times in eight days. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Heidi (a wee bit late posting this, sorry)!

Here's a classic. We did manage to get all the nephews in one picture. In spite of Jasper being a quick escape artist. And yes, I did finally get around to playing around with Piknik. Kinda fun.

The Hunt

Easter 2010

Dressing them in fancy clothes while I still can.

The Easter bunny's favorite place to lay eggs:

Gavyn got just a wee bit distracted from the task at hand when an airplane flew overhead.

Daddy's "I love my boys!" expression which easily makes this one of my favorite pictures from this weekend:

A Little Bubbly

Here's a few songs for you to enjoy on this rainy afternoon. They're kind of bubbly.
