I've been extremely conscious lately of stranger kindness. On our trip to Stillwater a few weeks back, Craig and I were wandering around looking for a coffee shop... there was this young woman out in front of the 45 store front getting things shaped up for the day and so we asked her if she knew where it was... "Oh!" she said cheerily as if we just asked her the best question in the world... then standing up straight and giving us a great big smile... she pointed down the street and said, "See that cute little coffee cup drawn on the sidewalk down there? Well.... you just follow the arrows into the building... then..." and she started marching in place and swinging her arms jauntily with her head tilted cutely to the right, "you walk down the hallway like this... and then you stop" and she stopped sharp and looked abruptly to her right, "and THERE it IS! a cute little coffee shop." All she had to do was give me directions, but instead... she gave me the highlight of my whole day. Not joking. She made my WHOLE day better just giving me directions to a coffee shop. I kept telling Craig, "She is SO cute! Isn't she cute?" So there you have it. Go out and make someone's whole day better.
