In the days leading up to Gavyn's birthday, Kekoa made a couple of things and specifically told me, "Mommy, these are for Gavyn for his birthday."
And Gavyn got some Lightning McQueen shoes from Grammy for his birthday. He has not taken them off since he put them on immediately after opening them Friday night. He wears them all day, takes naps with them, and wears them to bed with his pajamas. I draw the line at bath time.

cute. ayla was like that when she got a fancy holiday dress as a gift. i decided then that i better stop trying to prevent the whole princess thing! happy birthday gavyn!
Yeah... Gavyn has a bit of a shoe fetish going on it seems... and the Lightning McQueen aspect of this whole scenario just perpetuates it.
